Cliona’s Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of Charlotte Kavanagh as Partnerships and Engagement Manager, bringing with her over 15 years’ experience in Public Relations, Communications and Fundraising management.
Announcing the appointment Cliona’s Co-Founder and CEO Brendan Ring said: “We are delighted to welcome Charlotte to Cliona’s. Thanks to the support of the Irish Public the fantastic work of Cliona’s Foundation has grown tremendously during the last 15 years. We witness the difficulties facing families caring for critically ill children on a daily basis, we have seen that these challenges have only been compounded by the ongoing Pandemic. The dedicated team at Cliona’s are stepping forward once more and we are launching an ambitious fundraising strategy to increase the support we currently provide. I would absolutely love for as many of our existing kind supporters and friends & new partners to join us as we take this journey together to ultimately reach out to more Irish families, we know the need is greater than ever. We believe that Charlotte’s previous experience and passion for Cliona’s cause will be instrumental in achieving this goal”.
Highly experienced in the areas of media relations, networking and digital marketing, fundraising and events, corporate partnerships, brand development and operations management, Charlotte’s style is energetic and proactive with a focus on collaboration.
Speaking on her appointment Charlotte said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be taking up this challenging new position to leverage skills and experience gathered from a long career in the fundraising and communications sector with a view to supporting and influencing growth and financial success to continue the incredible work of Cliona’s”.
Charlotte’s most recent role, during her ten years at The Hope Foundation, was as Chief Communications and Fundraising Executive where she directed the communications strategy and communications team for the organisation in Ireland, US and UK. Charlotte also directed the fundraising strategy whilst overseeing implementation of fundraising activities, campaigns and the fundraising team in Ireland.
