Check out the 3rd in our series of ” At home with Cliona’s”interviews hosted by the fantastic Virgin TV presenter Muireann O Connell

Muireann caught up with the sports legend Jerry Flannery at home in the UK where he is currently the line out coach with Harlequins

Jerry played for Ireland 41 times before his retirement due to injury in 2012, having also helped Munster to Heineken Cup titles in 2006 and 2008 after a spell with Connacht.

The former hooker moved into a strength and conditioning role with football club Arsenal in the 2013/14 season before returning to the Munster set-up as scrum coach in 2014.

Jerry  was promoted to the forwards coach role in Munster in 2017 where he remained until 2019.

He accepted the offer of line out coach with Harlequins in June 2020, making the move with his young family in the middle of the pandemic

Jerry has been a long time supporter of Cliona’s and we are very grateful for him taking the time out to share an insight into his personal life
