Co-founder/CEO of Cliona’s Foundation and is Cliona’s father. Director of CUBE – a design, print and packaging company based in Limerick. Brendan has been the managing director of CUBE since 1996.
Charlotte Kavanagh
Charlotte KavanaghPartnership and Engagement Manager
Charlotte joined Cliona’s in January 2022 after ten years with The Hope Foundation where she was Chief Fundraising and Communications Executive.

Highly experienced in the areas of media relations, networking and digital marketing, fundraising, event management, corporate partnerships, brand development and operations management, Charlotte’s style is energetic and proactive with a focus on collaboration. Charlotte’s role is varied, however, her priority is to leverage skills and experience gathered from a long career in the fundraising and communications sector to influence awareness, growth and financial success of Cliona’s.

Charlotte’s most recent role, during her ten years at The Hope Foundation, was as Chief Communications and Fundraising Executive where she directed the communications strategy and communications team for the organisation in Ireland, US and UK. Charlotte also directed the fundraising strategy whilst overseeing implementation of fundraising activities, campaigns and the fundraising team in Ireland.

Charlotte developed a love for camping during Covid 19 restrictions and is mad for the beaches of Kerry. She loves animals and was inspired by her daughters to rescue, foster and rehome street cats. They kept 4 of them! Charlotte lives in Co Limerick with her husband Nessan, daughter Lucie, and too many pets!

Katie O'Riordan
Katie O'RiordanProjects & Events Manager.
Katie joined the Cliona’s team in November 2023

Before coming to Cliona’s Katie was working in retail in a sales, marketing and customer service role. From her many years of experience in this role Katie developed a high level of communication skills and a strong ability to multi task and problem solve in a fast paced environment

Katie brings a broad range of skills to the team from her various roles outside of work. She has been a member of the Irish Red Cross since 2009 and is currently the Cadet Unit Officer in her local branch. Katie is also involved as one of two Coordinators of the Cork Rose Centre. She had been involved as a team member in Cork since 2017 and took over her current role in 2021. The Cork Rose Centre is the largest centre in The Rose of Tralee International Festival and this role has given her a great insight into the running of events. This experience will bring with it a skill set to create and develop future projects for Cliona’s Foundation.

 Pamela Pollastrini
Pamela PollastriniAccounts Administrator
Pamela joined the team as Accounts Administrator in August 2023

Pamela is from South Africa , & has worked in Accounts/Admin for over 25 years in both the USA and South Africa.
She loves the outdoor life, the beach, going for walks, reading and her precious granddaughter Emi, who at 8 years old will stop to help anybody in need.
She moved to Ireland with her husband Mark in 2022 and is privileged to be living here and working for Clionas.

Phil Deegan
Phil DeeganMarketing and Fundraising Coordinator
Phil brings a wealth of experience to her role at Cliona’s having spent 25 years in Shannon Development Company where she held senior roles in industrial property management and development & tourism product development in the Shannon region. Projects she was involved in include; 1st Phase of Limerick City Boardwalk, King John’s Castle redevelopment, Shannon Region Trails and Burren Ecotourism, all of which equipped her with excellent people, project management, collaboration and relationship skills.

Phil’s varied role at Cliona’s includes engaging with potential fundraisers by supporting them in developing, organising and promoting their event. Phil also initiates and co-ordinates Cliona’s fundraising events while also encouraging participation for Cliona’s in independent events. Phil is highly skilled in social media marketing and website content management. Phil is responsible for the many online financial and fundraising platforms that Cliona’s utilises.

In addition Phil submits grant applications on behalf of Cliona’s. Phil also engages with family applicants and has huge empathy for their situations. Phil represents Cliona’s at fundraising and networking events and opportunities while also managing many corporate partnerships.

Outside of work Phil enjoys all sports, has played & coached basketball, loves to walk and also swims in West Clare. She also likes to sing out loud sometimes (the team can confirm this!).

Phil lives between Thomond Park & The Gaelic Grounds in Limerick with her husband Fergal, daughter Ciara & dog Snowy.

Alana Bligh
Alana BlighSchools Engagement Co-ordinator
Alana joined Cliona’s in August 2024

Alana is a Roscommon native living in Kildare.
She enjoys time with friends and family, walks on the beach and travelling to exciting new places.
Alana comes to Cliona’s with a Master’s degree in Adolescent Health and two years’ experience of therapeutic recreation practices having worked on the camp management team at Barretstown SeriousFun camp. Alana has a real passion for working with young people. She is excited to bring her experience from working with transition year students in her previous position to her role as Schools Engagement Co-ordinator working on Camino for Cilona’s.
