Cliona’s Foundation launched their Annual Buster race which will be on Saturday 28th March at Limerick Greyhound Stadium, first race at 7.45pm.
The Buster Race Night hopes to raise much needed funds for families with critically ill children in Ireland. With a top prize of €500, the Buster race will attract regular dog goers along with families arriving for the Easter bunny, face painting & clown event. The Con & Annie Kirby Memorial 525 Puppy Sweepstake Semi Final will be on the same evening, sponsored by JP McManus, with a prize fund of €80,000.
Speaking at the launch earlier this week, John McCarthy, Sales Manager at Limerick Greyhound stadium said ‘This is Cliona’s Foundation third year running a Buster night with us, to date the events have been a huge success and we are delighted that Cliona’s Foundation are holding it again this year. The Stadium is a state of the art building that we showcase to the general public every weekend and have an indoor elevated view of the track and with live commenting… There’s always a bit of fun with it’.
Funds raised through the event will help struggling families with the “hidden” costs associated with caring for a critically or terminally ill child, including accommodation, food, petrol and other miscellaneous expenses incurred by families who must take sick children to hospitals or other medical facilities for frequent treatments.
First race starts 7.45pm on March 28th. Tickets at €10 include entry to stadium, buster draw and a race card.
Premium tickets at €50 include 4 course meal, entry to stadium and buster draw, a race card and a personal tipster. Please note that tickets are not available on the night and must be purchased in advance. For more information, please email [email protected] or contact Allison at 061 400640
