On Friday, August 26th, the Gaelic Players Association is hosting a Legends Lunch in the Hogan Suite, Croke Park, the proceeds of which will go to Cliona’s Foundation.
The event will be hosted by Cliona’s patron, RTÉ’s Miriam O’Callaghan who will be joined by her colleague Damian Lawlor and many other special guests including impressionist Aidan Tierney,
There will be a drinks reception beginning at 12pm and a three-course lunch with wine, while some of the leading figures in Gaelic games will discuss and review the 2021-2022 GAA year.
Four legends of Gaelic games will be honoured by the GPA with Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The female honourees are Mary Jo Curran (Kerry) and Angela Downey (Kilkenny). The male honourees are Babs Keating (Tipperary) and Jimmy Keaveney (Dublin).
All proceeds will be going to Cliona’s Foundation and helping families of children with a life limiting condition deal with the non medical costs of caring for their child
