With Ireland basking in sunshine this past weekend we in Cliona’s Foundation were privileged to have had the Purple platoon out in strength at numerous events in Limerick and in Castlebar.
From tots to teens, to 3 generations of one family we were overwhelmed by the level of support we received from family , friends loyal supporters and strangers, which not only generated funds for our families but raised the profile of the service we provide to families of children with a life limiting condition.
What was most special was that families we have supported were part of these events during the weekend.
It all kicked off on Saturday morning with our super barbecue team cooking up a storm on the riverfront followed that afternoon by a few very special children lining out in the Great Limerick Run kids fun run It was topped off on Sunday with the large purple platoon participating in both the Bon Secours Hospital Great Limerick Run and also the West of Ireland Women’s Mini Marathon
It was a magnificent weekend for Cliona’s Foundation and we cannot express enough our appreciation for all those that made it so special
